Original Skeleton Surf Art Painting

This painting was done with acrylic, ink, and enamel on a 15″x24″ birch panel.  The painting was first built up of many acrylic layers and then enhanced with an iridescent acrylic based ink.   After the underpainting was done the foreground skeleton was enhanced with an enamel outline to help separate him from the background.  The is a a technique commonly found in animation cells.  The frame is custom built from the endemic Koa tree of Hawaii and is embellished with brass tacks and rope details. Koa is a very hard wood and in the Hawaiian language it means brave, bold, fearless, or warrior. With the frame, the total measurements are 30″x36.5″  This is a great skeleton surf art piece that any surfer or collector would absolutely love! 

Canvas Prints

These are hand-signed, ready to hang, high quality Giclee inkjet reproductions nearly as beautiful as the original work.  They are gallery wrapped around a 1.5″ stretcher bar frame, printed with archival pigment-based ink, and coated with a UV varnish that will extend the life of your art.  Please allow up to two weeks for your prints to be shipped from the time ordered since custom stretcher bars must be made and the Giclee must be stretched at the time of the order.

Paper Prints

These are hand-signed museum quality prints with pigment based inks printed on archival, glossy paper.  Each print is wrapped in a clear sleeve and backed with a stiff chip board.  Paper prints have a white border and are ready to frame since they come in a standard frame size.
